Absolutely, we do have a loyalty scheme! With each groom, you earn a stamp of appreciation from us. When you've collected 10 of these stamps, your 11th groom is a fabulous 100% free! It's our way of saying thank you for choosing us to pamper your lovely pup and supporting a small local business! Please ask for a loyalty card when at the salon.
- Can I bring my two dogs to an appointment?
The simple answer is no. As we are one to one groomers we do not have the space to house second dogs while a groom is in place, and each dog needs to have its own time slot allocated to allow enough time to carry out the required service. Please only book in and bring one dog at any one time to an appointment.
- Why has my groom been cancelled?
If your groom has been cancelled, the main reason is due to no deposit being paid. The deposit is requested to ensure commitment and to secure the allocated time slot for your dog's grooming session exclusively.
- I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?
If you need to re-schedule or cancel your appointment, you can do so by contacting us or replying to your appointment confirmation email at any time. If your appointment is within 48 hours this cannot be cancelled or rescheduled and you will need to fully pay for this appointment as per our T&CS.
- Why would my dog need to be completely shaven?
The decision to completely shave a dog with severe matting is made in the best interest of the dog's welfare. Severely matted hair can cause discomfort and pain to the dog. It can prevent proper air circulation, expose the skin to potential infections, create an environment conducive to the growth of fungus, bacteria and parasites. Attempting to de-mat severely matted hair can be a traumatic and painful experience for the dog. It can cause pulling, twisting, and ridging of the skin, which may result in the clippers grazing, marking, or catching the skin, causing further discomfort. In such cases, shaving the entire coat to the skin is often the most humane and practical solution to alleviate the dog's discomfort and prevent further matting. The decision to shave a severely matted dog is in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, which mandates that animals be protected from pain and suffering. By removing the matted hair, the groomers ensure the dog's well-being and provide a fresh start for the coat to regrow in a healthy manner. It is important to trust the professional judgment of the groomers and not try to convince them to de-mat severely matted dogs. Their priority is the welfare and comfort of the dogs in their care. You can learn how to prevent matting on our Coat Maintenance page.
- Can you collect and drop my dog off from my home?
We do not offer collection and drop off dog grooming services. You will need to bring your dog to our salon at your appointment date and time and then collect your groomed dog when requested.
